About Service Station

Service Station, LLC is an IDD Waiver agency that provides services to folks with disabilities.  We have a very important responsibility of taking the opportunity to provide services to Individuals who need them the most.  We would be honored to help provide you with any IDD Waiver services that you may need.  The standards by which we will SERVE will be compared to none.  The experience at the Service Station is like one you have never experienced!  We are super excited to tell you all about us!  Contact us soon!

Vision Statements: To create a safe place where folks can come and find their purpose through serving others despite limited abilities.  To extend kindness and to offer hospitality to even the least of these.  To make known that everyone has a purpose, that everyone can SERVE, and that everyone was created for the glory of God.

Why the Service Station?

What is the first thing that you think of when you hear the words Service Station? Us too! We know! An old vintage gas station that neighborhoods used to have. It’s where you could stop by and get an ice cold drink and a moon pie. It’s where everyone knew everyone; you could run a tab and know for sure that someone would stop to pay it. They had old soda machines, bubble gum machines, cheap gas, and full service. Well, we are not selling moon pies, but each of our location will be decorated as an old vintage station. For us it’s just a fun theme that reminds us of what a community used to be and an easy play on words. The Service Station is actually an agency that provides services to folks who need them the most. We feel like what better way to become a part of a community than to SERVE one. We will change the way communities view folks with disabilities. Every community has schools, churches, town halls, animal shelters, food banks, etc. We have created partnerships with the people and businesses in the communities that will provide opportunities for our folks to come in and SERVE the communities that they live in. So, stop on by! We will still give ya a cold drink and a moon pie, but your experience here will be so much more than that!

For our original location, the influence of Catbird’s, Harris Chevron, Bailey’s Exxon, and Bailey’s Gulf Station made all the difference in the world! Thank you!

What’s John got to do with it?

In the Bible, John 9:2-3 teaches that a man was born blind. Not because of something that he had done wrong but so that the works of God would be made manifest in him!  We don’t believe that God messes up. We believe that God has a plan and a purpose for everyone He creates, even when we don’t understand it. Society often views folks with disabilities as “damaged goods” or as if something is wrong with them. We believe nothing could be further from the truth. Everyone was created for a purpose, and we believe it was to SERVE others.

The Owner of the Service Station’s son was born blind and mentally impaired. She believes that the Service Station would have never existed without her son being a part of God’s plan for her life.
